The Uncommon Core

Using Core Portfolio

Beginning fall 2015 new first year and transfer students will begin using Google Sites for their Core Portfolio. Sophomores and Juniors have the choice to continue using P@N (otherwise known as Chalk and Wire) or switch their Core Portfolio to Google Sites. New first year and transfer students will have training embedded in existing coursework.

Students will upload course-specific assignments to their Core Portfolio. Assignments can take the form of a text reflection or an uploaded file (PDF, video, word doc, etc.).

Note: P@N is not Moodle! Unlike Moodle, P@N is not set up into courses or modules. Student portfolios, such as the Core Portfolio, will be used for multiple courses. Students may also create a custom portfolio for their own personal or professional purposes.
