Organization & Time Management
- Google Calendar: All Naz students have access to the Google Suite, which includes Google Calendar connected to your Naz email account. You can use Google Calendar to stay organized by creating a widget on your phone, adding dates and times for events, color-coding your schedule, and setting notifications and reminders for important tasks and appointments.
- Assignment Tracker Google Spreadsheet: Using Google sheets can help organize your assignments all in one place. Google sheets is a spreadsheet organizer for data or information that you can edit and collaborate with others in real time.
- Google Drive is a cloud based software that organizes all your google suite products including google docs, sheets, slides, vids, and forms. You can create, share and organize your various documents. We suggest creating folders for each class, adding titles, color coding, and then starring important documents or folders to organize and control your drive.
- Microsoft To-do is a free, cloud-based task management app that helps users organize daily tasks, work, and personal lists across devices.
- ForestApp is a focus app where you set a timer for a study session and grow a virtual tree. If you leave the app and use your phone, the tree withers, but if you stay focused, the tree fully grows.
- Be Focused is a Mac-based productivity app that uses Pomodoro-style focus sessions with timed work periods and short breaks. It also includes task lists and progress tracking to help users stay organized and productive.
Notetaking
The following notetaking platforms include AI-enabled features. Please be sure to review each course syllabus carefully, as instructors may have specific policies regarding the use of AI tools and recording in the classroom. Additionally, these platforms typically require a paid subscription, so we encourage you to review associated costs before selecting a tool.
- Genio is a notetaking solution for independent learning and increased productivity that works online or offline, on any device. Genio features include recording your classes and following along with live captions, and then organizing your content with AI outline. You can also draw handwritten notes with the scribble component, and deepen your learning with an AI-powered quiz me feature on the material recorded.
- Jamworks is an AI-powered application designed to assist students in their studies by providing automated note-taking, lecture summaries, flashcards, and a personalized AI chatbot. It aims to revolutionize the way students study by simplifying the process of capturing and reviewing lecture material. This notetaking app is especially geared for STEM students.
- Notability enhances note-taking by combining audio, handwritten, and typed notes into one organized system. It also employs AI to help turn lectures into study materials like flashcards and summaries, while allowing you to search, review, and interact with your notes in a way that fits your learning style.
- LiveScribe Pen uses a Livescribe smartpen to record audio as you write, linking what you hear with your handwritten notes. It uses special paper and allows you to upload your notes and diagrams as a digital PDF for easy access and review.

- Quizlet is an online flashcard platform where users can create flashcard sets, share or browse existing sets, and quiz yourself on selected study materials.
- Purpose Games is a Quiz gamified platform where you can search from previously created quizzes of various subjects to review material, or create your own text-based or image-based quizzes.
Text to Speech
- Read & Write Read&Write is a helpful text-to-speech tool that supports your reading and learning. It can read text out loud from websites, documents, and files, help explain unfamiliar words, translate text, and let you follow along as it reads.

- Finch is a gamified self-care app that supports mental health, positivity, and productivity through a virtual pet. By completing daily tasks and tracking goals, you help a small bird or animal grow, encouraging consistency and healthy habits in a simple, engaging way.
- Calm is an app for managing stress and improving sleep. Its free features include guided meditations, breathing exercises, and sleep stories that can help reduce anxiety and build simple, consistent relaxation routines.
- Daylio is a free app that allows you to create self-care bullet journal entries, set goals, and track your daily mood and overall well-being with emojis, icons, and charts.
Citation Generators
- Scribbr is a citation generator that works for all sorts of source types and various citation styles such as APA, MLA, Chicago, and Harvard.
- Purdue Owl is a citation generator and gives various citation guidelines that are especially helpful for formatting in MLA and APA styles.
- ZoteroBib automatically generates citations and organizes them alphabetically, making it easy to copy and paste a completed bibliography.
Textbook Shopping
- SlugBooks lets you enter a textbook title or ISBN to compare prices across multiple sellers, helping you find the best deal.

- Lofi Girl is continuous, lyric-free music designed to help you stay focused while studying.
