Academic Partnerships

Nazareth University partners with high-quality academic programs at other colleges to enable students to move smoothly between the colleges and from undergraduate to graduate work. The articulation agreements guarantee admission as long as requirements are met. Additional benefits:

3+3 with Syracuse University and University at Buffalo

Law school: In 3 years at Nazareth plus 3 years at Syracuse University College of Law or at University at Buffalo School of Law (so a total of 6 years rather than the more typical 7 years), highly motivated legal or political science students can complete a bachelor's degree and a J.D. degree, saving time and tuition. You can be accepted to Nazareth and a conditional acceptance to law school upfront.


Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM)

Medical school: High school seniors can apply and be admitted to both Nazareth University — to major in biomedical sciences — and to Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) for a medical degree from either LECOM’s School of Dental Medicine or its College of Osteopathic Medicine. You do not have to take the medical college admission test (MCAT), and you will have a guaranteed seat in medical school as long as you maintain eligibility. Northeast College of Health Sciences

(formerly known as New York Chiropractic College)

Doctor of Chiropractic or M.S. in Applied Clinical Nutrition: Students pursuing a bachelor of science degree biology, in toxicology, or in biomedical sciences at Nazareth, including courses specified in the articulation agreement, can submit a letter of intent to Northeast College of Health Sciences (Seneca Falls, New York) during their first year at Nazareth and apply to Northeast College of Health Sciences one year before the desired entrance date. By completing all other application steps, including a satisfactory admission interview and references, students are guaranteed admission to Northeast College of Health Sciences. Students entering Northeast with a 3.0-3.4999 GPA receive one $1,500 merit scholarship, and those entering with a 3.5 or higher GPA receive one $2,500 scholarship from Northeast College of Health Sciences.

nazareth University, Kayla Cannon

Kayla Gibson Cannon '05 went from Nazareth to Syracuse Law School and then specialized in real estate law at Underberg & Kessler, LLP. The Nazareth-Syracuse 3+3 partnership saves time and money for students interested in law school.

New American Colleges & Universities (NAC&U)

Nazareth is part of the NAC&U consortium, enabling full-time undergraduates to enroll in online courses or pursue domestic and international semesters offered by NAC&U institutions such as Belmont University, Drury University, Russell Sage College, University of New Haven, and Wagner College. Rochester Area Colleges (RAC) consortium

Full-time undergraduates can take up to two courses per fall or spring semester at another college in the consortium. Read the "take a class at another RAC" rules.

Community Colleges

Nazareth University has transfer articulation agreements with many community colleges and provides lists of courses that students should take to smoothly transfer into specific bachelor’s degrees and meet all requirements to complete the program efficiently.
