Transfer Credit FAQs

Will my credits transfer to Nazareth?

Yes! We accept credit from regionally accredited institutions. In general, if you have earned a C- or higher, the credit will transfer. The transferred credits may fulfill your degree's requirements for your major, for the PEQ/core curriculum, or for electives.

  • From community college: You can transfer up to 66 credits.
  • From a four-year college or university: You can transfer a maximum of 90 credits.

Transferring with an associate’s degree?

You are waived from completing all core requirements (except for ACS 090 – Academic and College Success for Transfer Students, and CME 050 – Core Milestone Experience). This means you can spend your time at Nazareth University immersing yourself in your major.

How do I know if the classes I have taken are equivalent to Nazareth’s courses?

All accepted students receive a formal credit evaluation upon acceptance. This means you will be able to see exactly how your credits transfer into your program at Naz and what courses remain to take.

In the meantime, you can use the Transfer Equivalency System (TES) to identify some courses that have transferred to Nazareth in the past. This is not the full list of transferable courses.
