    Goals and Vision

    GOALS:

To reimagine the Arts Center Complex’s performance offerings to increase opportunities to showcase student talent and support high-profile professional performances connected to the university’s mission. Through this approach we will offer the community a slate of diverse and high-quality performance, art exhibits, lecture/speaker series offerings etc. that balance student,  faculty, and professional talent, highlight the excellence of our visual and performing arts programs, and increase community engagement with (and thereby support of) this important strength at Nazareth University. The Arts Center’s connection and value to the community will continue, while at the same time transitioning it to a venue equally committed to showcasing the best of student, faculty and professional performances through programming that is compelling  to both the Nazareth and Rochester communities, and the Western New York region.

    VISION:

The Arts Center Complex will help establish a strong Visual, Performing Arts & Design unit identity,  internally and externally, that will contribute to student and faculty development and recruitment; will develop interdisciplinary programming and partnerships between VPAD  departments (both academic and administrative); will strengthen and expand external relationships and collaborations; as well as expand opportunities to increase donor base and grant funding for the arts. The Arts Center Complex will play an essential role in implementing the strategic framework and fulfilling its core strategies (i.e., Expansive Naz, Campus Connected, Equity Mindset, and Engaged With Impact).
