Service-based trips and experiences provide the opportunity to deepen your awareness and understanding of a variety of social justice issues, and to partner with local organizations that are addressing those needs. Learn and serve with communities, both domestically and abroad, building lifelong friendships.
COVID-19 has challenged not only the Nazareth community, but the Rochester community and the world at large. This year, we are adjusting our Alt Break experiences to assure the safety of our students and our community partners, while continuing to work as allies and advocates for our neighbors, both local and global.
Over January and March of 2021, we will be running two Alt Breaks in Rochester, as well as two virtual global experiences.
Focus Areas:
January
March

Naz Alternative Breaks is part of the nation-wide Break Away organization, and follow their guiding principles of trips that include intentional preparation, continuous reflection and a commitment to service beyond the trip experience.
Some short-term opportunities are an approved pathway for Experiential Learning, which is one component of the Uncommon Core at Naz.
