More than a hundred alumni and friends gathered to celebrate their connection to Nazareth and to each other on May 1. Enjoying the day of remembrance were members of Nazareth’s 51+ Club, an alumni group celebrating reunions of 51 years or more, and the Founders Society, those who have made a planned gift to the College. A memorial mass and presentation on the spiritual history of the College by Catholic Chaplain Jamie Fazio ’97 was followed by a luncheon in the Shults Center Forum. President Daan Braveman gave an update on the College, and Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs James Douthit, D.M.A., presented “Bridge Under Construction: Building the Connections to Careers and Lives of Meaning for Nazareth College Students.” The day ended with a student ensemble performance of hits from the past. Many attendees plan to return to campus for the first combined Homecoming & Reunion this September 18-19.
