Nazareth College School of Management (SOM) is pleased to present Bridgette Hobart Janeczko ’84 with its 2015 Distinguished Alumni Award. Hobart, an entrepreneur and world-renowned swimmer, was chosen based on her business success, service to others, commitment to ethics and social responsibility, and her unwavering support of Nazareth College. She accepted her award at the SOM Business and Economics Honor Society Induction Ceremony in April.
Hobart founded Paradigm Technology Consulting, LLC in 1999 and has more than 25 years of professional experience in accounting, tax, and technology. Throughout her career, she has combined her knowledge of accounting, business processes, and technology, as well as exposure to many industries, to benefit her clients. Today, Hobart’s focus is primarily in business requirements definition and application design, including integration objects.
In addition to being a successful entrepreneur, Hobart is an accomplished athlete. She earned the World Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming after successfully swimming the English Channel in 2014, a title now held by only 102 people in the world. The World Triple Crown also includes swimming around Manhattan Island and crossing the Catalina Channel.
Hobart serves on the board of trustees for Nazareth College and is a member of the New Jersey Society of CPAs, American Institute of CPAs, and the Institute of Management Accountants. After graduating with a bachelor’s in accounting from Nazareth College, Hobart received a master’s in accounting from the State University of New York at Binghamton.
