Education: B.S., Nazareth College

Stephen Wehner is an accomplished visual communications professional with over 21 years of experience in digital interactive media, training, marketing, advertising, and creative leadership. He is passionate about blending traditional design, new media, and video into engaging, user-centered experiences delivered via print, the web, and mobile devices.

Mr. Wehner has won several awards for his work consulting in the marketing and online education spaces. Stephen has served as the creative director and the director of marketing for numerous companies, and recently spent two years as the vice president of curriculum development at an education technology startup company. He has extensive experience building both small local and large global creative teams from the ground up for agencies and corporate in-house marketing departments.

Bio

Academic Interests: Illustration, character design, storyboarding and directing animation.

David Cowles landed a graphic artist job at the Democrat and Chronicle newspaper in Rochester in 1983, and began his freelance career two years later, leaving the paper to work freelance full-time in 1991. Cowles' work has appeared in Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, Vibe, Time, Newsweek, Playboy, People, The Village Voice, Money, Worth, Fortune, Fast Company, Los Angeles Magazine, New York Magazine, The Boston Globe, The Chicago Tribune, The New York Times, The New Republic and Vanity Fair, among others. Cowles has produced a pilot for Playhouse Disney, as well as videos for They Might Be Giants, Toyota, The RPO, and Sesame Street. He's currently working on an animated short for Frederator Studios with his daughter Alison.

Bio

Groves is an alumna of Buffalo State College and Nazareth College.

Before joining the Art Education Department, Groves was a public school art educator for 32 years, working with grades K-12 at Brockport Central School District. She also has taught at Genesee-Wyoming BOCES, Alexander, and Elba, N.Y. 

She was awarded the 2016 Marion Quin Dix Leadership Award from the National Art Education Association (NAEA), after being nominated by educators/leaders of the New York State Art Teachers Association (NYSATA) because of her outstanding work in the field of art education.
