Nazareth College President Beth Paul has named Lisa Durant-Jones as vice president for community and belonging. Durant-Jones held the position as interim vice president since August 1, 2020. She previously served as the associate vice president for academic affairs and graduate initiatives for three years.

Occupational Therapy Clinicak Associate Professor Laura Poleshuck and her graduate students are conducting research to measure the impact of weekly interactions with a future guide dog on first-year students' mood, homesickness, and campus affinity. GPA and retention rates are being monitored.

Nazareth hosts Social Innovation Hack-a-thon with innovators from Rochester, California, and the Navajo Nation

Nazareth College is hosting its virtual Social Innovation Hack-a-thon on Friday, Oct. 16, from 2 - 6 :30 p.m. A social innovation is a novel solution to a social problem that is more effective, efficient, sustainable, or just than current solutions. The value created accrues primarily to society rather than to private individuals.

Nazareth College's nursing degree program ranks among the 2020 Best RN Programs. RegisteredNursing.org, a nursing advocacy organization, just released its list of 2020 Best RN programs and Nazareth is #12 on the list of best nursing programs in New York — and is the highest ranked in the Rochester area.
