Alternative Breaks

Learn about social issues through a service immersion experience, domestically or internationally. Student led (plus faculty/staff accompanied), during college breaks.

Learn about social justice issues at key sites and commit to action.

Short Travel Options

Student Engagement, Campus Activities Board, and student clubs also offer experiences off campus. They may not provide credit, but often include transportation. The destinations vary from year to year based on student preferences, planning, and funding. Examples of recent trips:

  • Finance-focused experiences in New York City
  • Cultural trip (Metropolitan Opera) to New York City
  • Adventure such as mountain zip line tours, the state fair, Rochester Public Market, and kayaking and canoeing
