Web Registration Instructions

All current students will register online for their new courses. Students will be notified by email about the timing and procedures for advisement and registration; their registration start dates/times are posted on the “Course Schedule” tab in Student Planning. Students should also check their “Notifications” in Student Planning to be sure they do not have any holds (such as an unpaid bill noted by Student Accounts, or a transcript hold, etc.) that might prevent them from registering.

To better assist advisees, review these advisement and registration procedures:

Course registration for undergrads and graduate students.

Advising for Registration
  • Send an email to your advisees explaining what you expect of them during the advisement process and the best way to contact you to set up an appointment for advisement.
  • Assist students in planning their academic program and monitoring their academic requirements. Pay special attention to total credits completed and liberal arts credits completed; deficiencies in these areas are two common reasons why students are unable to graduate on time.
  • When meeting with each advisee, review the student's plan in the Course Plan tab on NazNet Self-Service. "Approve" or "Deny" each course and then click on the "Review Complete" button. Be sure to archive the plan when prompted to do so. The archived plan is important for documentation purposes.
  • It is strongly recommended that you assist advisees in selecting alternate courses in case their preferred courses are closed at the time of registration. Students who put themselves on a waitlist should also register for a different course in case a seat does not open in the closed course.
  • Please ask your advisees to inform you if they end up with a course schedule that is significantly different from that which was advised.
  • Complete the registration approval each advisee.
IMPORTANT: Advisor Registration Approval

After advising each student, follow this two-step process for reviewing/archiving students' plans and approving them for registration: http://webfiles.naz.edu/file/xk32qg/
