Apply: Public Health

1. Complete your application online, which includes submitting a resume, professional statement, and two letters of recommendation as detailed below.

Prerequisite Coursework (must be completed with a grade of C or better by the start of fall term classes:

  • One general biology course
  • One health-related science course (e.g., nutrition, anatomy, microbiology, or physiology)
  • Two courses in behavioral sciences, including a course in sociology or social psychology
  • One course in a subject such as sociology, anthropology, psychology, political science, or economics
  • Statistics or other quantitative coursework

2. Request official transcripts from each college you attended.


3. Interview

  • It is recommended that applicants contact the graduate program director before applying to discuss their candidacy for the MPH. 
  • If you apply without a preliminary interview: The graduate program director will contact qualified applicants for an interview.

Application Deadlines

Fall Term

  • April 1, then reviewed as received through August 15
  • Full-time enrollment cohort model begins in the fall semester
  • Part-time or spring start available by special arrangement

Spring or Summer Term

  • Applications reviewed as received, up to one month before classes start
  • Part-time enrollment only
