Community Service Opportunities

Non-credit-bearing (or co-curricular) community service opportunities are student learning opportunities through service, ranging from one-time days of service to weekly immersive partnerships with community organizations. Alums also can play a role.

  • Short-Term Opportunities - days of service, fundraisers
  • Naz Service Immersion Trips * - service trips during fall Reading weekend and spring break
  • #NazVotes - political engagement, voter education (encompasses Monroe County Election Fellows Program)
  • Partners for Serving * - serving with nine community organizations supporting issues around immigration and refugees, homelessness, youth development, etc.
  • Partners for Learning * - tutoring in-school and after-school with youth in eight urban settings
  • LifePrep@Naz * - supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in an on-campus fully integrated transitional program
  • Clinton Global Initiative University - national initiative providing social innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership skills and opportunities

* Programs marked with an asterisk fulfill the experiential learning requirement in Nazareth's Uncommon Core.
