Jewish Senior Life

Nazareth College and Jewish Senior Life entered into an affiliation agreement in 2010 that greatly benefits both Nazareth students and the residents who live on the Jewish Senior Life campus. Nazareth students who are pursuing a career in physical therapy, social work, nursing, art and music therapy, sociology, and psychology, will be able to do their fieldwork/clinical training at the Jewish Senior Home, The Summit at Brighton, or Wolk Manor.

The residents of Jewish Senior Life can continue their higher education by auditing courses on the Nazareth campus, attending lectures, or by participating in mini-courses conducted by Nazareth staff and faculty on the JSL campus. Nazareth students can volunteer at the Jewish Senior Life campus, through options such as dance classes, games and activities, or one-on-one visits.

The Jewish Senior Life campus has three levels of care - independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing:

  • The Summit at Brighton offers spacious residential apartment homes, fulfilling programs, and services.
  • Wolk Manor, an assisted living community, provides a residential setting for people who require some assistance with daily living activities, but are not in need of full-time care.
  • The Jewish Home of Rochester is the skilled nursing center, which offers various levels of long-term and short- term transitional care, in a contemporary environment.
