Program Details:

Costs & Financial Aid

Nazareth students pay the on-campus cost for this program and continue to use their financial aid package and payment plan. Matriculated students are eligible for all financial resources for which they would qualify if they were studying on the Nazareth University campus (including federally subsidized loans). Students are also encouraged to apply for outside scholarships and grants to supplement their support resources.

Students from other universities will be assessed the standard semester fees for the program in addition to an administrative fee. Visiting students are advised to consult with their home campus Financial Aid Office for any other support they may receive from their institution.

There is no opportunity for students to receive U.S. Federal work-study funding while studying in Finland.

Accomodations

Students are responsible for arranging and paying for room and board, but Laurea University actively assists students in finding home placements. You may choose to live in private rental accommodations near the  campus; utilities and food are not included.

Courses

Laurea University of Applied Sciences offers degrees taught in English in the fields of Business Management, Business Information Technology, Nursing, Social Services, Restaurant Entrepreneurship, and Security Management. See more information on Laurea's website.

Deadlines

This program needs to be planned when a nursing student declares the major. It is not open in the way that other long-term study abroad programs are. Planning and rearrangement of courses prior to placement should be discussed with the student's advisor and program director Mary Maher.

Once you have been accepted to the program, Laurea University will contact you with visa application procedures.
