Residential Life

How to Become an RA

Step 1: Online Application

Complete the online application (opens January 8) by 4:30pm on February 3 and let us know a little bit about yourself and why you want to be an RA.

Step 2: Information Session

One information session is required for all new applicants in the resident assistant hiring process. All sessions will be held over Zoom and will last approximately 30 minutes. You will learn about the RA position, time commitment, compensation, and if it is the perfect opportunity for you.

Step 3: Individual Interview

You'll have the opportunity to connect with Area Directors and Graduate Resident Directors and talk about your skills and how you'd contribute to the team.

Step 4: Group Interview

Working with fellow RAs is an important part of the job. You'll participate in a series of exercises and activities that allow you to demonstrate your leadership abilities.
