Carly Pike ’16 was Nazareth’s lone first-team representative on the Empire 8 Conference all-star teams for women’s softball that were announced last spring.
Pike, of Perry, N.Y. and a graduate of Notre Dame of Batavia High School, was named as a utility player as she split time between first base, third base, and the pitcher’s mound. Shortstop Sarah Cipperly ’14 earned honorable mention honors and Meg DeMario ’14 was Nazareth’s representative as Sportswoman of the Year.
Pike finished second on the Golden Flyers’ team with a .308 batting average with 28 hits in 91 at bats. She also hit two home runs and had 18 RBIs, hitting .333 in 12 conference games with one homer and 10 runs batted in.
