Children's Programs
Frank DiMino Casa Italiana offers a variety of different programming for children including La Scuola Italiana (Italian School language classes offered once a week) and an Italian Language and Arts Day Camp during the summer.
Italian Summer Language & Culture Camp
During week-long sessions, children learn about the cultural heritage of Italy and study the Italian language through various activities, such as: indoor and outdoor language games, cooking, history and geography, traditions, theater, folk dancing, art, Italian classical and modern music, guest demonstrations, videos and more!
Summer 2025:
- Week 1 (ages 5-7): July 7-11, 2025
- Week 2 (ages 8-10): July 14-18, 2025
Camp is held from 9:30am - 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, for both weeks. Cost:
- $250: Casa Italiana members (membership must be active at the time of registration) and Nazareth University Faculty and Staff
Registration is now through June 30th or until camp roster is full.

La Scuola Italiana (Italian School) is a program that offers age-appropriate activities and curriculum for children of all ages. The weekly classes are for beginners to advanced beginners and use authentic Italian school textbooks. This engaging program focuses on Italian language, traditional children's music, and games. La Scuola Italiana also includes hands-on learning activities, watching video clips, role playing, and projects.
Wednesdays 5:00 – 6:00 PM
Ages: 4 – 10 years old
Dates: February 5th to April 23rd (No class will be held during Spring Break)
Location: Casa Italiana LeChase Lounge
Cost: Members: $190/per child
Non-Members: $240/per child
Nazareth University Faculty/Staff: $150
