Human Resources

Certificate Program

As part of the College’s commitment to talent management, Human Resources offers a professional development program for staff members. The program consists of three (3) tracks, each of which builds competencies specific to existing roles within the College. The program also serves as a supplemental resource to help prepare staff members for potential future opportunities.  The tracks are as follows:

Staff
Open to all FT/PT staff members. Workshops focus on core competencies identified in all staff positions at the college.

Supervisory
Open to all FT/PT staff members. Workshops focus on competencies identified for those who supervise at least one student and/or employee.

Managerial
Open to all FT/PT staff members. Workshops focus on competencies identified for those who have the title of Manager or above, supervise at least one employee, and make significant decisions for the department. For the purposes of this program, “significant decisions” include, but is not limited to, independent judgment, strategic decision-making, fiscal responsibility and overarching workforce management.

To find out more about upcoming workshops, which track(s) you qualify for, and how to get started, please contact Human Resources.
