Kansai Gaidai University
Kansai Gaidai University is located in the city of Hirakata, midway between Osaka, Japan's second largest industrial metropolis, and Kyoto and Nara, the ancient capitals of Japan. Located in the cultural heart of Japan, the campus provides an excellent place from which to go exploring. The Asian Studies Program offers many opportunities to travel to surrounding cities through field trips and independent research.

Eligibility
Applicants must have at least one year (preferably two years) of experience at a college level institution with a minimum 3.0 GPA to be considered for admission.

Kansai Gaidai offers a variety of housing options for international students.
Options include:
- Homestay: The Homestay Program offers learning opportunities for both international students and Japanese families who are seeking to broaden their understanding about different cultures.
- Dormitory: Offer a comfortable alternative for students who choose to live among fellow students, who come from very diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Home Visit Program: allows students to become acquainted with aspects of Japanese culture and daily life through interaction with a Japanese family on weekends.
- Off-Campus Housing: Some students may prefer to make their own housing arrangements.
Courses
Kansai Gaidai offers a wide range of course taught in English in the Asian Studies Program. Students must also take one Japanese Language course. Japanese language courses range from introductory to advanced levels. Previous Japanese language training is not required.
