Meditation Practices

Experience different meditation practices

Zen Meditation

Interested in some real quiet time?

Try an hour of traditional Zen meditation (zazen). Professor Roy Stein  conducts hour-long meditation sitting sessions. The hour will consist of a brief introduction to the practice of zazen, two rounds of 20-minute sitting — each followed by 5 minutes of walking meditation (kinhin) — and ending with a few minutes for questions and comments.

All are welcome! No level of experience is necessary. Chairs, meditation benches, and cushions will be provided.

Mindfulness & Meditation Club

With resources from great teachers and guides, we will practice and discuss different forms of meditation, from ancient to modern day practices. We will also discuss the methods and benefits of mindful living. The club is open to beginners or those with some experience with meditation.
