Graduate students make up a third of the Nazareth College population. Your invaluable contributions and engagements are felt all across the campus. We appreciate you!

Graduate Student Appreciation Week activities are sponsored by the Office of Academic Affairs, the Center for Life's Work, the Office for Diversity and Inclusive Excellence, Graduate Admissions, and Health and Counseling Services

Monday, April 1

We Love Our Grad Students

  • Stop by for a complimentary snack and a free "Graduate Studies at Nazareth College" long-sleeved tee (while they last!).
    • 9:15 a.m - 10:15 am.: Golisano Academic Center (1st Floor - Main entrance in front of Linehan Chapel)
    • 3:30 p.m & 5:30 pm.: Smyth Hall, 1st Floor (near the entrance to the School of Business and Leadership)
    • 3:30 p.m.: Golisano Academic Center (1st Floor - Main entrance in front of Linehan Chapel)
    • 6:00 - 7:00 pm, Golisano Academic Center Rm 211 - Graduate School of Education Popcorn Bar
  • Professional head shots: Drop by Media Resources (basement of the library) between 3 and 6 p.m. for a professional head shot.
  • HESAA Networking Event hosted by Alumni Affairs: 4 - 6 p.m. Label 7 (50 State Street)  Connect with your Center for Life's Work career coach, Emily Pelkowski.

Tuesday, April 2

Professional Development Day

  • Diversity and Inclusive Excellence Education Reception, GAC 151 from 5-6 p.m.
    • Attend a reception and a brief workshop on identity and our responsibility to elevate and broaden the diversity, equity and inclusion narrative in our respective fields and workplaces. Register
  • Professional head shots: Drop by Media Resources (basement of the library) between 3 and 6 p.m. for a professional head shot.
  • Graduate School of Education Popcorn Bar: 6:00 - 7:00 pm, Golisano Academic Center 211.

  • Grad Art Therapy Show in Library begins

Friday, April 5

Social Media Day

  • Graduate Student Appreciation Day on social media 
    • Check Nazareth College social media throughout the day for grad student  profiles and pictures from Graduate Student Appreciation Week.
  • Graduate Write-in: 1:00 pm-6:00 pm in and around the Writing Center (library room 129). All graduate students are welcome as we gather to get some much needed writing done. Coffee and small snacks provided while they last. The Writing Center’s goal is to offer a space and time for you to check in with friends, eat some food, and focus on writing. Stop by yourself or bring a group of friends! Any questions, email the Director of the Writing Center, Steven Tolson (stolson9@naz.edu).
