During week-long sessions, children learn about the cultural heritage of Italy and study the Italian language through various activities, such as: indoor and outdoor language games, cooking, history and geography, traditions, theater, folk dancing, art, Italian classical and modern music, guest demonstrations, videos and more!
Summer 2024:
- Week 1 (ages 5-7): July 8-12, 2024
- Week 2 (ages 8-10): July 15-19, 2024
Camp is held from 9:30am - 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, for both weeks. Cost:
- $250: Casa Italiana members (membership must be active at the time of registration) and Nazareth University Faculty and Staff

Camp Director: Alana Capogreco Bell
Alana is an Italian teacher in the Auburn Enlarged City School District. She has been teaching for 13 years, and has been the director of the Casa Italiana Children's Camp since 2015. Alana began as a camper at 5 years old at the camp's inception, and has been participating since then in various roles. Alana is a graduate of Nazareth University undergraduate and graduate programs. She is thrilled to continue the tradition of educating children about Italy and its language, art, music, geography and history.
