Graduate Student Resources

Welcome to Nazareth University!

Whether you are new to Naz or simply new to your program, graduate studies is a new and important part of your educational journey. The resources provided below are intended to make the transition an easy one.

We’re glad you’re here!

Getting Started at Naz

Academic Calendar: Important dates for each year and semester are in the Academic Calendar. Be sure to consult the calendar before planning your next vacation!

Email: All electronic communication from your advisor, instructors, and other administrative offices will come to your Nazareth-issued email account assigned to you upon enrolling. Be sure to check your email often so you don’t miss important information! Visit our Google Apps support page for information on accessing your email. Questions about email or other Naz-supported technologies can be directed to the Technology and Media Services Desk.

Financial Aid: For information on financing your graduate education or to discuss your concerns or questions, contact our Financial Aid Office.

Student Accounts: For questions and information about your bill, payment, or financial aid refunds, contact our Student Accounts Office.

Naz Net Self-Service is the gateway to your personal record at the university. This is where you will register for classes, pay your bill, view your schedule, and see your grades: NazNet Self Service support page.

Registering for Classes: Graduate Student Course Registration guides you on how to register using Naznet.

NazCard ID: Your Nazareth ID card identifies you as a member of the campus community. Use it to open doors with swipe access (like the 24-hour student lounge in Smyth Hall), check out items in the Library, and access your meal plan, if you purchase one.

Getting Here & Staying Safe

Navigating Campus: Access the printable campus map or the interactive map for building locations and information on where to park. Lot D is open to all students beginning at 3:30 p.m. each day. Fun fact: Google Maps will map out the fastest walking path from one building to another on campus (using the actual walking paths!)

Parking Permit: Visit Campus Safety for a parking permit, required for all students, faculty, and staff parking on campus.

Staying Safe: Download the Safe@Naz App for links to emergency resources, to connect to Campus Safety, and gain access to other 24-hour supports. Also be sure to check/update your contact information in NazAlert, our mass emergency notification system for campus emergencies and closures.

Academic Resources

Student Success Support: We care about your academic success! All support resources are listed on our Academic Success & Accessibility webpage. Student Accessibility Services ensures students with temporary and permanent disabilities have equal access to educational opportunities across campus. The team will coordinate appropriate accommodations and support services for graduate students. Our SAS office also advocates, counsels, and connects students with campus and community resources.

Learning Management System: Moodle is Nazareth's course management system. All courses have a Moodle page and instructors use the system to share information, engage students in learning activities, post and retrieve assignments, and post grades.

Computers and Printing: Computers are available in the Library, some study spaces, and in labs throughout campus for your use. You will need your NazCard ID to swipe into computer labs (locations). All include printer access: Campus printing support page.

Media Resources: Our graduate students sometimes have special printing needs such as color copies, lamination, or poster printing for presentations. Specialty print orders can be processed through the Media Resources webpage.

Library: The Lorette Wilmot Library provides virtual and hard copy texts online in the physical library, as well as through interlibrary loan. The Library offers a variety of services to support your academic and personal needs.
