Students volunteered in one of three service sites in Santiago, Dominican Republic with faculty from art therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and communication sciences and disorders.
This 10-day program allowed students to explore the culture, music, beaches, cities and rural villages of one of the most vibrant islands in the Caribbean. After getting to know the country and some of the issues it faces, students worked with faculty at one of three service sites, volunteering with children, teenagers or elder adults.
