Center for International Education

Nursing Service Program

Nazareth's Nursing Department sponsors a service learning project in Belize over spring break. Students and faculty have the opportunity to work with the residents of Octavia Waight Centre, a nursing home in San Ignacio. Under the supervision of faculty, students conduct home health assessments, develop care plans, provide health promotion education, and support residents' recreational activities.

There is also time to explore the cultures of Belize with such activities as visiting the Mayan ruins, Belize Zoo and Butterfly Farm, or go zip lining!
