The Landscapes of the Southwest

Students discovered the great beauty of the west coast of Ireland during spring break. The program was open to all undergraduate and graduate students as well as staff, faculty and alumni.

Program Highlights:

  • Toured the West Coast of Ireland and visited the Cliffs of Moher, the Dingle Peninsula, Killarney National Park, Bantry and Cork.
  • Saw Blarney Castle and the Cobh Heritage Center (which was a major departure port for Irish immigrants to the United States and the last port of call for the doomed Titanic).
  • Provided an educational learning opportunity for those interested in Ireland's remarkable history.

"This was taken in Dingle Bay, Ireland. It's an all Irish-speaking town in the south of Ireland which had the most gorgeous cliffs I've ever seen. It was absolutely breath-taking."
