McCarthy-Petosa Tandem Make Second Team
The doubles tandem of Jean McCarthy ’17 and Ami Petosa ’16 represented Nazareth on the Empire 8 Conference women’s tennis all-star teams. McCarthy and Petosa were second-team selections following voting by the league’s head coaches. McCarthy also earned honorable mention honors as a singles player.
McCarthy, of Warwick, N.Y., and Petosa, of Chittenango, N.Y., served as the Golden Flyers’ top doubles team in 2014 as they combined for a 5-3 overall record, including a 5-2 mark in Empire 8 matches. McCarthy also played first singles for Nazareth and went 4-4 in conference matches.
