Residential Life

Clock Tower Commons

Clock Tower Commons is an air-conditioned residence hall with four floors of suite-style living for about 148 students. Each suite has two bedrooms that share a bathroom.

About half of the spaces are reserved for first-year students in the First Year Experience Program.

Upperclass students have a living room in addition to the double bedrooms that share a bathroom. Rooms are carpeted and furnishings are modular with space for storage under the beds. As in most residence halls, there are blinds on all windows, so it's not necessary to bring window coverings - and a New York state fire safety regulation prohibits window coverings that do not meet a certain flammability level. Small kitchenettes on each floor include microwaves.

The building has an elevator, rooms designed to house students with disabilities, a state-of-the-art computer lab and an First Year Experience smart classroom. Lounges on each floor have a plasma television and space for studying, relaxing, and gathering. Each floor has a combination laundry, recycle, and trash room.
