Summer Leadership Academy for Young Women and Girls Ages 13-17

Develop your leadership skills and sharpen your focus on pathways to your future. Throughout the weeklong program, explore key areas of interest and potential careers in a fun and engaging series of workshops and activities held exclusively on the beautiful Nazareth campus.

Activities include:

16 Personalities | Leadership Exploration | Therapy Dogs | Yoga | Improvisation and Percussion Workshops | Nutrition and Wellness Demos | Casa Italiana | Slimefest | Campus and Clinic Tours | Career Panels | Community Service Project

Topics include:

  • Know Yourself: What leadership style is best suited to your personality? What does it mean to be a leader? What are the unique characteristics of, and challenges faced by female leaders?
  • Engage with Others: How do you build a successful team? What are the challenges and benefits of collaboration across differences? How does social media impact our relationship with others?
  • Express Yourself: Find your voice through creative workshops with our visual and performing arts faculty members and team activities to build confidence and self-expression.
  • Nurture Yourself: Yoga, campus walks, cooking classes with healthy foods, tools for handling stressful situations, financial literacy, and special visits from the IPAW Collaborative therapy dogs as we focus on wellness and personal growth.
  • Nurture Others: Community project (to be announced)
  • Explore your Future: Interested in careers in health care, education, business, or a strong foundation in liberal arts and sciences? From hands-on tours of the Nursing Simulation Lab, York Wellness and Rehabilitation Institute clinics, and Peckham Hall, to career panel discussions with community leaders and Nazareth alumnae, you will build your network as you chart your path to your future self.

Price: $450 (Discount is available for Naz faculty/staff and for multiple participants from one family.)

  • Lunch and snacks are included
  • Multiple participant discount (two or more participants per family): 15% discount per participant
  • Need-based scholarships are available on a limited basis
  • If a participant wishes to cancel their registration, they must do so by June 27, 2023. No refunds will be permitted beyond the stated deadline.
  • Program runs from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Drop off begins at 8:30 a.m.; pick up by 5 p.m.
