Biography

Eric Carlin is on faculty at Nazareth College and the Nazareth Community Music Program where he teaches classical guitar to all ages and levels as well as Guitar Methods. Eric obtained his Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Eastman School of Music where he completed his Master of Music degree 2008. Previous education includes guitar study with Dr. Matthew Slotkin at Mansfield University where he completed his Bachelor of Music degree in 2005.

Prior to Nazareth, Eric taught at the Eastman Community Music School as well as maintaining a private studio. Mr. Carlin is familiar to the Rochester area having grown up about an hour south in Hornell, NY. A diverse musician, Carlin enjoys singing and playing popular music as well as electric blues and country. Eric resides in Rochester, NY with his wife Jodie.
